Orchestra

The Orchestras are composed of two different groups

Symphony Orchestra, which is made up of  7th and 8th grade students. This ensemble performs music that is at a very high level, including Holst's St. Paul's Suite, Bloch's Concerto Grosso No. 1, Mozart's Eine Kleine Nachtmuik, and many Baroque standards. This group will often include in its repertoire original pieces composed by its conductor. This year the Symphony Orchestra received 3rd place at the Northwest Orchestra Festival.

Concert

Concert Orchestra is defined by its intensive focus on technical work. By the end of the year, these students can perform at an advanced level. Being a smaller group, it's meant for sixth graders to learn more advanced music. This group feeds directly into the Symphony Orchestra. This year the Concert Orchestra received a Superior rating at Orchestra Contest.
