7th and 8th graders from Washington Middle School will once again participated in the Battle of the Books reading incentive program this school year. Teams, made up of 3-5 members, battle against each other in game-show format, identifying books by the clues given about the 12 books they read. Teams earn 5 points for knowing the correct title and 3 bonus points for knowing the correct author. The winning team for Washington Middle School will earn the right to compete against the winning teams from Jefferson, Marshall, and Reeves Middle Schools to vie for the traveling trophy.
