Mrs. Mathis would like to encourage avid readers to take the Newbery Challenge. Those who wish to participate should stop at the library to pick up the necessary forms and read 60 Newbery Medal or Honor books during the course of your middle school years. Those who accomplish this feat will earn a Newbery trophy plus have their name engraved on the Newbery plaque which hangs in the library. Recently this award was earned Elise McCullough (April 2008) and Jennifer Ta (June 2008). We're very proud of your diligence, girls!
