November 2020 Principal's Message

Hello everyone, this is Paul Anders with your Washington Middle School November 2020 message.

MAP Testing is scheduled for Monday, November 9th and Tuesday, November 10th. Monday will be for reading and Tuesday will be for math. Students will be testing with their advisory teacher each day beginning at 8:45 AM. These district wide assessments are given twice per year, once in the fall and once in the winter/spring, and help provide us with student-specific data which inform us of individual academic progress. Please check our homepage for additional information.

Friday, November 13th will mark the end of 1st quarter. This will only impact our 7th/8th graders in health and our 7th/8th graders in tech arts. If your 7th/8th grader is currently in tech arts, they will switch to health starting on November 16th. If your 7th/8th grader is currently in health, they will switch to tech arts on November 16th

There will be no school on Wednesday, November 11th, in observance of Veteran’s Day. Additionally, we will have our virtual Veteran’s Day Assembly available to all families. We will be sending out that link in the near future.

And finally, Thanksgiving Break will start on Wednesday, November 25th. School will resume on Monday, November 30th.

Thank you and I hope you are having a wonderful afternoon.
