  • Quarterly Book Logs
    Your Second Quarter Book Log is due Friday,March 29. 
    It must be signed by a parent or guardian to be valid.
    
    A reminder of how to write the statement of theme for your book is to complete 
    this sentence: The author believes that ...(write a universal truth that you found 
    in the book.
    
    You need to read for at least 30 or more minutes every day, including weekends! 
    
    That's just 3 1/2 hours a week!
    
    THE GIVER IS AVAILABLE AS AN AUDIOBOOK ON YOU TUBE TO LISTEN TO WHILE YOU READ ALONG.
    I HAVE A LINK TO IT ON THE BOTTOM OF THE UNIT 2 FOLDER IN SCHOOLOGY.

    Monday, March 11 - Friday, March 15
    Finish Chunks and 3 an all accompanying assignments before Friday.
  • Read to the end of the book.
  • Take Chunks 2 and 3 Quizzes when you are done with each section.
  • Complete the Vocabulary worksheet for each chunk and hand in
  • Take notes to help you prepare for the Literary Essay
  • You will use your notes in the in-class essay write next week.
  • We will have MAP testing Wednesday, Thursday and into Friday. Bring a book to read.
  • We will have "Discussions with a Purpose"about your books on Friday and/or Monday
