Clubs at WMS
Each year, our students generate most of the clubs offered at WMS. Some of the clubs are teacher generated.Here is a slideshow explaining how to start a club, what forms are needed, and how to join a club. Below are the clubs that have started this year or will be happening later this year. If there is not a starting date listed, that club is currently meeting.

A club for students who are interested in plants, gardening and nature. Meets after school weekly, in the courtyard garden, starting after Spring Break. Please sign up to be contacted by email.

Join us in the library after school on Fridays to play. You can join anytime and use your own cards or borrow some of mine.
Meets: Fridays 3:45-5:00pm in room 302

A club for students of color to: find power within their own identity and develop strategies to navigate sticky situations, increase their knowledge of social justice, contribute positively to their school community, and build friendships and laugh at Ms. Arevalo’s jokes. All interested students are welcome to attend.

In this club, students will play Dungeons and Dragons, a fantasy role-playing game. This club allows students to extend their friend groups while playing in a fun, inclusive setting.
Meets: Mondays, from 3:45-5:00pm in the library

The WMS Library Crew club will give students an active role in connecting their peers with books that match their interests and inspire a lifelong love of reading. Club members will learn how to recommend books in a supportive and non-judgmental manner while gaining leadership skills and a stronger voice in shaping our school library. This club will not only help students grow as readers but will also make our library more student-centered, ensuring that the collection and displays reflect the interests and needs of our community. All students are welcome to join the WMS Library Crew.

Composer Club is a club that teaches students about different kinds of music and how to create them.
Meets: Tuesdays 4:00-4:55

Designing and building robots to compete in the FLL competitions.
Meets: Tuesdays and Fridays 3:45 in Mrs. Morgan's room 205
Students walk to OHS with high school advisors.

Bring your craft project whether it is knitting, crocheting or embroidery and craft with your friends!

Students gather to read their own books together in a shared space while sipping hot chocolate.
Meets: second and fourth Thursday in room 201 8:15-8:45

Students use this time to complete assignments with help from our support team.

A club for students interested in developing skills taught in the Tech Arts and Media departments. Club members will be exploring various technologies and software such as: 3D printing, sublimation printing, laser engraving, CNC routering, adobe illustrator, adobe photoshop, sketchup. We have high expectations of student participation and productivity. We also want students to develop interpersonal skills, create a sense of community and have fun.
Meets: Every other Wednesday (beginning Feb. 11th) 7:55-8:55
